Song's for Kelly is a fundraising compilation for Kelly Turner.

Kelly Turner (16) is a beautiful, intelligent, highly artistic and deeply loving young woman.

Up to October 2015 she was a fit and well 15 year old, enjoying a happy and fulfilling life. Without warning she was diagnosed with cancer - "Desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT)" – a rare and aggressive tumor that typically forms in the abdomen or pelvis. Considered a pediatric cancer, this rare type of soft tissue sarcoma is diagnosed in around only a handful of teenagers each year.

Kelly has been well cared for by The Royal Marsden specialist cancer treatment hospital here in the UK and has responded well so far to nine rounds of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, as there are tumors close to her liver, surgeons are not prepared to operate.

Seeking a fifth opinion, this time from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA, surgeons at that facility have agreed to perform the necessary operation, as well as vital immuno and radio therapies – but at a cost. As of August 3rd 2016 the estimated fee to save Kelly's life stood at $1,200,000 USD. Kelly's family are not covered under the US insurance system and have no way to raise such an incredible sum without the help of others.

Through the kindness of diverse bands and musicians, spanning various genres, Astro Radio (www.astroradio.earth) have put together this fundraising compilation in order to help send Kelly to the United States of America for the surgery she most desperately needs. ALL money raised by the 'Songs for Kelly' compilation will be donated to the Turner family in order that Kelly live a long, normal and fruitful life.
